Food Fraud Team Template

free template for food fraud teams for food safety management systemsFood fraud mitigation teams are an important element in the fight against food fraud.  All food businesses are at risk from food fraud.  Whether your business is a restaurant, a specialty grocer, delicatessen, central kitchen, hotel or food manufacturer, it is important to understand the risks posed to your consumers, customers and brands by food fraud. A food fraud team is a cross-functional team of people from different parts of a food business who work together to understand food fraud vulnerabilities and formulate activities to reduce the risks from food fraud.

Food safety management systems standards owners have published guidance to help businesses mitigate food fraud risks.  The standards owners recommend that businesses form cross-functional food fraud mitigation teams.  The team can also assist with educating senior managers within the business about the risks from food fraud.

Food Fraud Risk Information

Purchase an offline ‘snapshot’ of the database in an easy-to-search format by clicking the button below.

You will receive a link to download a Microsoft Excel file, which contains information from the Food Fraud Risk Information Database as it was on 23 November 2020.  It is an offline document, is not updated automatically and does not reflect any changes that have been made since that date.

Sources: The information in the Food Fraud Risk Information Database comes from hundreds of sources, with the number increasing all the time.  To keep the size of the database manageable, sources are not included.  However the authors are more than happy to provide sources to all genuine enquirers.

The information in the Excel workbook can be searched, sorted, copied, pasted and manipulated as with any other Excel workbook.  Users are encouraged to add their own information and notes to the document.

The contents of the online database is presented in a table, with one row for each ‘card’ of the database.  In the database, most cards correspond to a single food type.   The database currently contains more than seventy five thousand (75,000) words.
